Dear Friends of the Holistic Education Review,

In the spring of 1988 the Holistic Education Review published its first issue. In 2015, in part due to lack of funding, this journal folded. After six years of dormancy, the new HER has risen out of these ashes because a small handful of us were absolutely committed to allowing visionary scholarship devoted to education for the full range of human potential to have an outlet.

To continue this work, and to ensure the health of the next chapter, we need to ask for your support. Please consider giving a $100 gift today! If you are able to give more, that would of course be deeply appreciated, but any amount of generosity will help us continue publishing HER. We have just published our fourth issue of HER in our new Open-Access format. In this issue, we are so proud to include the voices of Ron Miller, Marni Binder, Jack Miller and other well-established leaders in the field of holistic education. We are equally proud to include powerful emerging voices. The content we offer now is as dynamic and compelling as ever.

The HER Editors are fully realizing the costs associated with offering this resource to our readers. We must seek support, particularly to meet our production expenses. We are supported by three volunteer copy editors, and an all-volunteer editorial staff, peer reviewers, and authors. Southern Oregon University generously funds one part-time student employee to support the journal’s production, but it is still not enough.

We are learning that the production process requires a paid staff person to manage the peer review process, oversee copy editing, layout, and to ensure the publishing of a high-quality journal.

The editors want you to know that it continues to be our privilege to support this organization as volunteers, but now we need a little help from you, our friends. We have founded a 501c3 nonprofit corporation to enable us to offer tax benefits to our donors. Your tax deductible contribution will help fund a paid staff person in the role of production editing.
