Abstract

This unique contribution to our special issue consists of intentionally blank pages, a quiet but powerful acknowledgment of the voices that remain unheard in today's challenging climate. These empty spaces speak for the scholars, educators, and practitioners who carry vital insights, but who chose to withdraw their contributions or remain anonymous. Their decisions reflect not a lack of conviction but the realities of institutional repercussions, professional vulnerability, and the need for self-protection in an increasingly divisive landscape.

Here, absence becomes presence. Silence becomes a form of testimony. These blank pages stand as both a tribute and a protest: a tribute to those whose wisdom could not be safely shared, and a protest against the conditions that make such withholding necessary. They are a testament to the courage required to speak truth in hostile environments and the equal integrity demonstrated by those who must remain silent to protect themselves and their communities. In a field committed to holistic understanding and inclusive dialogue, these pages remind us that silence can be both a form of resistance and a casualty of oppression.

Through this symbolic gesture, we acknowledge that complete knowledge and full representation remain elusive when fear constrains freedom and authentic expression. These pages ask us to listen differently and to recognize that sometimes what is not said carries the deepest truths.
